Pack of mushrooms, halved
Head of broccoli, broken into florets, steamed
1 onion, chopped
3 smoked cheese grillers/chorizo, sliced
3 garlic cloves, crushed
2 cups of cheddar, grated
1/2 tub cream cheese
Fry the sausage slices in butter in a pot for a few minutes until done or heated through, remove and set aside. In the same pot add the onion and let sizzle until translucent. Add the milk, thyme, oregano, pepper, mushrooms and garlic and let sizzle for about 5 minutes, stirring, make sure there’s enough butter in the mixture. Add the broccoli and sausages into the mixture.
In a saucepan, heat more butter. Add the cream cheese and stir. Add the nutmeg, salt and pepper. Add mix on the heat until heated through. Remove from the heat and add 1 cup of cheddar cheese. Stir until the cheese has melted.
Throw the veg and sausages mixture together with the cheese sauce in a oven proof casserole. Top with the remaining cup of cheddar and place in an 180 degree oven for 20 minutes. Grill it for the last 3 minutes to get a crispy cheese topping.
