I’ve posted a mushroom sauce recipe before, however, this one is somewhat different, it has a dash of fantastic.
2 garlic cloves
black pepper to taste
3 tablespoons butter
oregano, a dash
salt to taste
Melt the butter in a sauce pan, add your mushrooms and let it fry for about 2 minutes. Add the brandy and let it cook for another 2 minutes. Add your salt, pepper, garlic and oregano. Add the cream and let it simmer. Keep stirring. If you require the sauce to be thicker, add a teaspoon of cornflour mixed with a little water.
Great with baked potatoes, steak and as a burger sauce.
